Lately, trying to find time to sit down and write blog posts has been a challenge. Between family life and my own personal trading, the days seem to disappear faster than ever. But when I finally stop and look back, it’s clear that this year has been a massive leap forward for us as a group. One of those years that quietly changes everything, and it is honestly why I’m already excited about what 2026 might bring.
The biggest breakthrough this year came almost by accident.
Back in June, I was reviewing my trading results for the month, doing what every trader does from time to time questioning myself where I can improve. One thing stood out immediately… I was closing far too many trades early. The setups were good, the entries were solid… yet something was missing.
So I went back to the charts and started backtesting the exact same setups I had taken live. That’s when the pattern revealed itself. Whenever the MACD on the higher time frame lined up with the current time frame MACD and the Mogwai Reversal setup, the trades had far more room to run. These weren’t just wins, they were bigger higher risk-reward opportunities.
That’s when I knew this wasnt just about me closing my trades early.
I took the idea straight to Roy and said, “we need a higher time frame filter so we can separate the perfect trades from the good ones.” A few weeks of testing later, and the Mogwai Reversal Blue Alerts were born.
The concept is pretty simple.
Green and red alerts stay the same, standard Mogwai Reversal setups.
Blue alerts… Blue means the higher time frame is on our side with the Mogwai Reversal setups.
Since introducing the Blue Alerts, my trading has taken off like a rocket to the moon. I realised that by focusing on a single asset Gold for example, and taking every blue alert with a 3% risk-reward, the math starts working heavily in our favor. We’re winning three times more than we’re losing, and on strong days, those back to back wins compound fast especially on Gold.
This is exactly why I’m so excited about 2026. As a community, this one change has the potential to make a huge difference in members’ results. Sometimes it’s not about adding more it’s about refining what already works.
